Hi XXX,

My two fave SEO how-to articles are:

34 Ways To Improve SEO Rankings

How to Make Websites Rank #1 in AI Search Results with Henry Purchase — Squarespace Circle

They are definitely worth checking out before you get anyone to quote – as there are a lot of foundational things you can do yourself, before going to a paid service.

One of the simplest ways to improve your SEO is to build out your online directory listings.

We do this as a paid service, but it’s honestly something anyone can do – the steps are simple, it’s just a bit time-consuming.

Basically you’re just setting up free listings with online directories – things like Google Business, True Local, Yelp etc. A good way to build this out over time is to set yourself a regular appointment task (eg once a fortnight) to Google one of your competitors + see what directories they appear on – then create your own listing where relevant.

Tips for setup:

  • Use the same main blurb across all listings – pull together one version you’re happy with + copy/paste it
  • Stick to the free options – most directories will push paid upgrades
  • Some will require an account setup – keep a note of logins/passwords so you can update things later if needed
  • Some will send automated emails after setup – feel free to unsubscribe if they’re just promotional

Hope that helps!
