Joel is probably best known for his work through Redfox, however, he also has his own business – Winters Edge Networks. Working primarily within the IT space with some cool marketing stuff thrown in, Joel’s on a mission to make sure that businesses are using the opportunities that technology provides to their full advantage – exciting stuff!
What habits help you to run your business more effectively?
Easily understandable processes, a simple process makes even the hardest work easier.
Why did you decide to start your own business?
After working in cloud computing, I came to realise the amount of technology that is available to the public but not taken advantage of. With over 89% of the population having a smartphone on their person whilst in public, the technology is already on us – we just need reasons to use it!
How do you create an awesome work environment, to attract and retain staff?
Our aim is to solve problems. Redesigning a process for clients is sometimes tough work, although the move to paperless is all worth it. Our team likes competition so every project is a challenge to complete with rewards. Do more, give more, use less and know more!
Tell us something about yourself that is not on your LinkedIn profile?
I am a big fan of good ole boardgames, which means so are my kids!
What is your top tip for keeping organised?
I would be lost without my smartwatch, that is how I stay on top of things and on time.
