Coral Sea Clinical Research Institute
The Coral Sea Clinical Research Institute is a brand-new medical facility in Mackay providing clinical trials. It’s an important local initiative, that aims to improve the accessibility of innovative treatments outside of metropolitan centres. Currently, it’s focusing on devising a therapy for Coeliac Disease. At present there’s no treatment, beyond patients excluding gluten from their diet. Their work has the potential to make a huge difference in the lives of people dealing with a really limiting condition. CSCRI’s Dr James Daveson has a stellar reputation worldwide, and brings experience and prestige to the Institute!
We worked with CSCRI on their launch campaign, culminating in a successful event with over 350 people in attendance. We helped develop their messaging, specifically around education. Clinical trials can be met with resistance, so our goal was to build a rich, clear source of information about the workings and goals of the Institute. Although challenging, it was exciting to be involved with something so consequential, not only locally but globally!
